No, never. Your messages stay on our infrastructure (Supabase, AWS Tokyo) and are not used to train any AI model. When you talk to our AI tutor, prompts are sent to Anthropic Claude under their zero-retention contract — they don't store or train on prompts either. Pro subscriptions are processed by an established Merchant of Record (currently Paddle, with Stripe as a fallback during onboarding). They handle payment collection, tax (VAT/sales tax), invoicing, and chargebacks. Your card details never touch our servers. See the Refund Policy for the full refund process.

Absolutely not. Bas Udrus is strictly an academic study-partner platform. Soliciting romantic or commercial relationships is a banned use, and we suspend accounts that try. Match scores reflect study compatibility — chronotype, focus length, exam-prep style — not romantic interest. See our Terms of Service §4.
Every profile is moderated. Every user can block or report another user from their card — reports go to a human (currently the founder) and are reviewed within 48 hours. We use Row-Level Security on every database table so users can only see what they're allowed to see. Account deletion is honoured within 30 days. We notify of any data breach within 72 hours per GDPR.
